Persian classical stories translated in Vietnamese

A collection of Persian classical stories inspired by the ancient Iranian poetry has been published in Vietnam in the current language spoken in this South Asian country.

According to the public relations office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), translated by Thai Ba Tan, the book The Persian Stories comprises the stories selected from the poems written by the past Persian poets such as Ferdowsi, Mowlavi, Attar, Saadi and several other Iranian masters in literature.

As mentioned in the introduction of the book, the collection aims to make the Vietnamese youth familiar with the Persian culture and literature.

Released by Kim Dong Publishing House, the book is published in collaboration with Irans Cultural Office in Vietnam.

Tho Co Batu is the other book earlier translated into Vietnamese by Thai Ba Tan. Irans ambassador to Vietnam Seyyed Javad Qavam-Shahidi has written the preface to the book.
