Irans world heritage book will be unveiled

The book Discovering the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Iran which describes the Iranian ancient buildings and arenas is scheduled to be unveiled today in Niavaran cultural Complex in Tehran.

According to IBNA correspondent, the unveiling ceremony will be attended by director general of UNESCO commission in Iran Mohammad Reza Saeed Abadi, the books author Farzin Rezaeian, and deputy head of Irans Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization (ICHTO) Mohammad Hassan Talebian who will deliver their lectures.

Discovering the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Iran has been printed by Tolou Ebtekarat Tasviri (Advent of Pictorial Innovations) Publishing House with the (nonfinancial) support of the UNESCO.

The package of Discovering the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Iran includes a collection of bilingual Persian-English books and DVDs which have used computer graphic images (CGI) for the first time to portray the Iranian magnificent heritage from a new perspective. This collection features 16 magnificent ancient works of Iran which have been added to the list of the UNESCOs world heritage sites.

Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova has written an introduction in the book saying that it focuses a number of the ancient places in Iran which enjoy extraordinary international value as underscore the role of local societies in preserving ancient heritages and promoting constant development. They prompt the worlds admiration for the magnificent Iranian heritage.
